China State Construction Attends Round-table Conference for Entrepreneurs from China and Bangladesh

On July 4, the Sino-Bangladesh Entrepreneur Round-table Conference, jointly hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Bangladesh Embassy in China was held in Beijing. The conference was presided over by Karim, Bangladesh Ambassador to China, and Gao Yan, Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade. Bangladesh Premier Hasina also attended the conference and delivered a speech. Zhou Yong, Deputy General Manager and Deputy President of China State Construction was invited to attend the conference and delivered a speech on behalf of the Chinese entrepreneurs.

Zhou introduced Premier Hasina to the overall situation of China State Construction and the development of its overseas business, especially its operation in Bangladesh. Zhou said that China State Construction not only followed up and implemented projects in Bangladesh, but also trained and employed a large number of Bangladesh workers across the world, building a deep friendship with Bangladesh people during the cooperation. China State Construction would continue to give play to its advantage in infrastructure investment and construction, urban planning and affordable housing construction, further participating in the construction of livelihood projects in Bangladesh, remaining active contributors to the economic and social development of Bangladesh.

Representatives from the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the ICC Branch in Bangladesh said in a speech that China was the most important trade partner and investment source of Bangladesh, and the Belt and Road Initiative was highly consistent with the development strategy proposed by Premier Hasina. In recent years, Bangladesh has experienced stable economic growth with the continuously improving business environment, creating excellent conditions for more foreign enterprises to invest in Bangladesh. It is hoped that Chinese enterprises can grasp the opportunity to innovate a cooperative pattern with Bangladesh, promote the establishment of more joint projects, and realize mutual benefits and win-win situations.
